6 Chapatti or Rotli

Chapatti or as we say in Gujarati 'Rotli'.
Each chapatti is hand rolled using a special tapered rolling pin called a Velan. Then they are baked on a Tava (a thick metal hot plate).
Made from unleavened wholewheat flour.
Vegan, Vegetarian

Contains 6 pieces.

 

Consume within 5 days.
Store at 4c.
Freezable - freeze on day of delivery.
Heating instructions:
Heat the chapatti on both sides in a thick bottomed frying pan over a medium heat or in a preheated oven for a few minutes, until warm. Alternatively place them in a preheated oven at 150c for 5-7 minutes.  Either way, don't over heat as they will become crispy and lose their softness. No need to defrost if heating from frozen, extend the warming time by 2 minutes. Serve them piping hot with salted butter, so good!

Tip:
In the rare circumstance that any chapatti are not eaten they can be cooked in a frying pan with butter until crispy. Have them with yogurt and honey for breakfast.
